What motivates you?

What motivates me everyday is the willingness to help others, while helping myself achieve goals that I have set for myself. These goals range from college assignments, completing tasks from coaches and helping teachers with what they need. Helping others can give them a chance to achieve their goals or help complete things that they won’t be able to get done. This willingness and motivation has created social connections in this school as well in the community.

What do you love about NS?

The students, teachers and support. When teachers work with students like they have done for me, it creates a relationship with that student and by extension the class that the student is going through high school with . Students are the ones that create the fun, they are the ones that show up to games, events, assemblies, and more. The opinion that the SBOs make it fun is false, SBOs just execute the fun ideas that the students want. Support for others creates a fun highschool social experience that students and others can enjoy.

What do you want to achieve next year if voted in?

To give more positions for students to voice their opinions, and by extension use myself as a beacon to be a voice for the students who don’t have one. I want to ask students what they want, not what previous years of leadership have done and go by what they think students want. The opinions and the ideas of the students can create new and more experiences that others want, and I can use myself to present these ideas to help make our highschool more fun and change the more traditional ways that we have. As stated before in a more unique way, SBOs dont make the fun, students do, SBOs execute.

What Motivates you?

My biggest motivation is to have a better path in life than my parents have. Even though my parents are hardworking people they never had the opportunity to go to school and they both dropped out of school at the age of 12 because they both grew up poor and they had to earn money for their families to help put food on the table. I want to be successful not only to achieve my goal of of being the first person from both sides of my family to go to college but also to make my parents proud because without any of the risk they have taken in in life i would not have the opportunity to have the education that i do and i am very grateful for that. I want my parents to feel like I appreciate and use every opportunity they have given me in a good way. To be successful in life motivates me.

What do you love the most about NS?

The thing that I love the most about North Sanpete is the teachers and how they go on their way to make every student feel welcomed and loved. I know that many students wouldn’t agree with me and I want to change that because when I step inside North Sanpete I feel like I’m stepping into a home where people care about you. I love that teachers get to know you and some of them become like friends. Another favorite thing that I have about NS is how inclusive they are and that they support every community that we have at the school.

What do you want to achieve next year if voted in?

The biggest thing that I want to achieve is to change how people see our school and the work that teachers and the student council put into the school. I don’t want students to think that our school sucks because that is all you hear sometimes and it doesn’t really feel good because. I don’t know how i’ll achieve this yet but i know that if i get voted in ill have great teammates to figure it out

Mallory Hinckley

What motivates you?

I want to improve my schools unity. I want to let students know that they are supported.

What do you love about NS?

The people, I believe that we have some of the best people in state. We have the kind of people who are so kind and willing to help at the drop of a hat.

What do you want to achieve next year if voted in ?

I want to make the school a more positive place. A place where students feel they can achieve anything they put their mind to.

Krew King

What motivates you?

I am motivated by my personal goals that I have set for myself. Also by my friends and family that are around me. I know that I have peers that will keep me in check and not let me slip up. I am motivated to be an example to my friends and family as well.

What do you love about NS?

I love how many friends I have made. The extracurricular activities are a big part of what I love about North Sanpete. The community is really great and shows lots of support. I love how even though we may be losing or we are down in points we still give it our all, whether it’s playing the game or just cheering them on. I also love the location of our school and how we arent as big as other schools.

What do you want to achieve next year if voted in?

If I were to be elected next year I would want the school to be more unified in everything we do. If it’s in sports, clubs, and anything else that we do as a school. I want to get kids more involved with school and have their high school years be a blast. I think that getting more kids involved in dances, stomps and flex activities would help a lot.

Gracie Larson

What motivates you?

The things that motivate me are my loved ones, friends, future, and religion. All of these thing make me want to be a better person. I strive to be better for my peers and for myself.

What do you love about NS?

I love that NS everyone knows everyone. I think that because of that I can connect to anyone. It’s fun to be able to go to a small school and know about their lives and achievements. I love that NS helps each other out, like the make a wish foundation this year. We were able to help our community out.

What do you want to achieve next year if voted in?

If voted in or not I offer my friendship to everyone. I want to achieve a more loving and caring environment. When it was my freshman year the seniors all supported each other and that was the best year of high school because of it. I know that our school can return to being the best it can be. I will also achieve some more hands on activities

Brandt Lund

What motivates you?

I am motivated by the connections I share with the people around me and the new ones I make as I go through life. I love interacting with others and I strive to be an example to everyone. I am also motivated by a desire to accomplish personal goals. I want to make a good lifestyle for myself. I believe that through hard work and building these connections that I can go however far I would like so long as I do the right things and keep my mind set on success.

What do you love about NS?

I love the determination so many students at NS have to improve. I love the opportunities we receive, regardless of coming from a small school. Many students at NS have clear goals for their lives and balance school and extracurricular activities in order to pursue them. Everyone knows everyone and I love the moments when we can look past differences, and unite to succeed. I know that when we do, we accomplish amazing things.

What do you want to achieve next year if voted in?

My ultimate goal is to leave everyone and everything within our school better. I believe that every person has value and something to contribute, regardless of their situations or beliefs. Knowing this, I want to give students the opportunity to have a say in our school and find activities and events that will include everyone and unite them to better our school. I want to work with our student leadership to create a better environment here at NS for everyone.

Alivia Madsen

What motivates you?

I am motivated by people around me. My teammates have helped me to stay going forward to reach success. Which is another motivator. Success. Knowing that I can achieve something great through my hard work is a huge part of why I keep going through the toughest times.

What do you love about NS?

My favorite part about NS is the connection between students. Watching people who have very busy lives still coming to support their peers has been very humbling. It’s amazing to see everyone so excited at games, it brings a connection that’s unmatched to anything else. I love when we do activities as a school where we come closer together, because in the end what matters most is how we treat others and the friendships we make. I love the close connection our school has.

What do you want to achieve next year if voted in?

My main goal as an SBO would be to give the students a voice. I think that we can improve our communication between students and class officers. I want students to have a say in things like themes for games, dances they want during the year, and activities we run. I want to meet with classes during the year to make sure students are feeling heard and know that their opinion   matters. I also want to have an anonymous box in the office where students can write ideas they have that we as SBO’s can put into action.

Trace Rees

What motivates you?

My biggest motivation is need for change and acceptance throughout NS. Everyone deserves to have a place they can feel involved and safe. My motivation is my personal struggles with feeling disconnected with my peers and making it my personal goal to help my fellow students never feel that way when they are around me. And to be an example of how to connect with others.

What do you love about NS? My favorite thing about NS is the community we build. Many students make it their goal to make connections with others and I think that a beautiful thing about our small community is the way we will do our best to always be there for each other no matter what the situation requires from us.

What do you want to achieve next year if voted in ?

I would make it a priority to continue to connect with the student body and lead by example to have others strive for unity because we as a high school do better when we aren’t at each other. So setting people up for success is one of my big goals, making our school a fun and safe environment is key for success.

Robyn Syme

What motivates you?

I am motivated by people around me, I honestly don’t know what I would do without my friends and family. Being with and helping people around me, building relationships and bonding to people is what gives me purpose in life. Being able to be there for people is more important and rewarding to me than anything else.

What do you love about NS?

Once again I just love the people, I think I could be happy anywhere and love people anywhere but North Sanpete is where my heart is because that’s where my people are. I have so many experiences in the school and during school activities that have helped me build relationships with people and I don’t have that anywhere else. All those relationships are very special and can’t be replaced and neither can the place they happened.

What do you want to achieve next year if voted in?

If voted in, I know I won’t be able to do much for the school as a whole but I really hope I can do something for the individuals. I’ve already made plans to pretty much quit my job next year if needed to make it to all the school events, or at least as many as I can. I want people to know I’m a friend, I care about them personally and I support them. I want to help connect my peers to each other, I know what it’s like to feel super lonely with a lot of people around. My hope is to do my best to help my people not feel that and feel and understand that they have people too. None of us are alone, we are here to help each other.

Angela Vasquez

What motivates you?

I would say my friends and family motivate me the most. They push me to be a better version of myself everyday. But along with my friends and family my peers also motivate me. They motivate me because I see them achieving goals and it pushes me to achieve my own goals.

What do you love about ns?

I love our school spirit when we actually go out and support all of our teams. I just love our student sections. They are definitely part of the high school experience I would say. I also love all the friends I have made at NS throughout the years.

What do you want to achieve next year if voted in?

I want to try and get our school more involved. By this I want to try to get more people to go support all our teams. Not just our major sports teams but all our other teams like band, choir, etc. Everyone works so hard and I think we all deserve recognition for that. We should go out and show our support for our peers.
