Curled hair is a classic look, and for Prom 2022 there’s nothing that beats it.
When you think of getting dressed up for something formal, curled hair is a must-have. It brings elegance, and it’s just beautiful. Women have been curling their hair for decades, and the trend is not about to change.
While the curls themselves aren’t going to leave, the way you style them certainly has. Odds are that you aren’t going to show up with a full 80’s hairspray updo. Instead, a gentle curl has been the most occurring style lately.
There are hundreds of ways to style a gentle curl, and the most common one seen at last year’s prom, was the half-up half-down hairstyle. Each girl did something unique to flatter her and added their own touch to work with their specific hair type. The styles all ranged from adding beautiful braids, to glamorous hair jewels. While keeping the common factor of “half-up and half-down with soft curls.”
The half-up half-down hairstyle is not only beautiful, but also efficient. It pulls the hair out of your eyes, and you don’t have to worry about it falling out of place all night. While at the same time your hair is down and flows around your shoulders, giving it a lovely bounce. It also accomplishes the hard task of adding body and height to your hair.
If you aren’t looking to wear your hair down, another popular style is to pull it back into a low messy bun, or a ponytail. This year more of these styles will be seen, due to the fact that it’s effective and holds its place better.
If you choose to pull your hair up, it’s important to remember face framing, it makes whatever style you wear look more natural. The key to face framing is to pull the hair out by the edges of your face, and to let it naturally fall. Without it, you stand a chance of looking like Legolas.
