I’ve been to many restaurants in my life, from when I lived in Las Vegas to almost everything this valley has to offer. But I’ve never been in a restaurant like Papa’s Pizzeria in Fairview.
It’s only a few months old and has already gotten an absolute ton of business. Most peopleas far as I can see just call in and order and then take the pizza to go, but that little restaurant deserves some sit-down time. The small, quiet atmosphere gives off a peaceful feeling, and is a great place to get stuff done, such as schoolwork, while enjoying some excellent food. The donuts are a touch that I didn’t expect, but I really enjoyed them. The small machine that makes the donuts hot and fresh up at the counter is mesmerizing, and the donuts go with the pizza for a nice little touch, or a nice snack for later.
Apparently, the owners Greg and Stephanie Smith have owned other food services, though this is the first time they’ve done pizza. And in every one, they’ve had these donuts as a sort of calling card.
The pizza itself has a wonderful texture and taste. It has a softer crust, and I absolutely love the taste, with the right blend of sauce, cheese, and anything else you want on it. If I was to compare it with other pizzas in the area, I would say it is much beter than a Little Caesar’s pizza.
I would even contest it against Main Street and Cavaliers aswell, with about the same pricing of about $10-$20 for a meal.
Living in Mt. Pleasant, I would rather drive to Fairview for one of these pizzas with their great customer service and a nice little
eating area over the other closer pizza places.
It should also be mentioned that the restroom facilities are incredibly fancy and were given the same attention as the rest of the restaurant. It felt like something you’d find at a hotel rather than a small restaurant, and I really appreciated it. Everything in that restaurant is clean and neat.
There was one small touch, a small TV playing in the corner playing videos about nature, where most other restaurants would be playing last Sunday’s baseball game. The owners really like nature and want to remind people of nature more often, and even though they’ll play one of the big games from last Sunday when it comes around, it’s mostly some interesting videos of the world around us.
Overall, it’s a wonderful place for pizza, with a nice aesthetic and quality food. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend, a date with friends, or just a good place to eat.
