Disney is a huge part of our culture. We love our Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and much more. But, as some people have noticed, for the past few years Disney has been taking their shows off streaming services, such as Netflix and Hulu. We now know why.

Disney Plus has been introduced to the world. From the moment it came out, Disney Plus has had ten million subscribers. This is not only because of Disney’s popularity, but also because of the massive amount of shows and movies available there for the extremely affordable price of just seven dollars a month.

One of the reasons Disney plus has exploded is their new Star Wars show, “The Mandalorian.” A new episode comes out every Friday, and it’s amazing. This show takes place in the same galaxy as Star Wars. The Mandalorian is a bounty hunter, who is a member of “The Guild.” He gets a “puck” from The Guild, which means a bounty to hunt, with a massive reward. The reward is Beskar steel, which was originally with the Mandalorians, but is now very rare thanks to the Empire.

I have watched all four episodes, and they are amazing. The animation of the fictional animals and the ships flying through space is also incredible. I love the storyline too. It doesn’t give you much information and is shrouded in mystery. We do know when it takes place, 25 years before the rise of the first order. We also know that the majority of the planets are on the outskirts of the galaxy, where the law is not prominent. But we still don’t know who the Mandalorian is. There are a lot of cliffhangers and questions, which makes you want to watch more. There is also quite a bit of action, although between the action and the next fight, it is slow going. Some people don’t like this, but I feel like it’s always building to something more. But “The Mandalorian” is hardly the only thing to love about Disney Plus. Access to the Disney vault is worth the monthly price alone. They have shows and movies including Star Wars, National Geographic, Marvel, Pixar, and of course, everything Disney. I personally love to watch all of these things, and it’s a fraction of the cost of other subscriptions. To rent a single movie on Apple TV is nearly as much as one month of access to thousands of shows on Disney Plus.

In summary, I love Disney Plus. Forget Netflix, forget Apple TV Plus and its nine shows; if you want a streaming service with something for everyone, get Disney Plus.
